There are albums that stick out as refreshingly individual works, and Nashville based Whoa Dakota’s latest EP entitled “I’m a Liar” definitely fits the bill. Working closely with the guys at Handmade Records, this EP features contagious rhythms, grooving baselines, airy vocals and gritty guitar. This album is the assembly of many different sound textures that mesh into a cohesive and enjoyable sound. Initially hitting the waves on Nashville’s “Lightning 100”, Whoa Dakota’s certainly creating a buzz with her single “Banshee”.
